West Virginia 14 Bay Addition

Stenco Construction was selected as General Contractor for a 14 Bay Addition at Toyota Motor Manufacturing's West Virginia engine and transmission plant. The plant, established in 1996, represents a total $1.5 billion investment in West Virginia and provides 1,800 jobs to the area.
Project details:
- Added 50,400 SF of space to the plant
- Added the 14 bays, a two bay truck dock and a 231,000 SF trailer parking lot
This project was awarded to Stenco after the completion of a 6 bay expansion in the same facility. In all, Stenco will have added 20 bays and a total of 72,000 SF to the plant over the course of 13 months. Throughout this 14 bay addition, Stenco oversaw the entire project, from preconstruction and excavation to building erection and interior finishing. The project has included:
- 37,000 CY earthwork for the addition, parking lot and ring road
- 6,110 SY of ring road asphalt paving and 215,000 SF parking lot concrete paving
- 90 tons of structural and miscellaneous steel
- Utility installation, including 7,385 LF of fire protection, 2,850 LF of mechanical, 15,000 LF electrical conduit, 16,000 LF of cable tray and 88,000 LF of electrical wire
