Stenco was selected for the Nissan Stamping Plant Bay 8 Addition project. This critical building addition added 60,000 SF and a 150-foot-long stamping press pit to the Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant.
Project scope included:
- Relocation of multiple utilities, including underground storm piping, fire lines, domestic water, natural gas and sanitary sewers
- Rock blasting for utility excavation and relocation, digging up to 25 feet deep
- Relocation of the main access ring road and a railroad
- More than 3,100 CY of concrete for the foundations and press pit
